Tom Garner is a Business and Guerrilla Marketing Strategy Specialist with expertise in business management, strategic planning, marketing, and advertising. In the past 30 years, he has focused on helping small business owners achieve their (3) primary goals; time, freedom, and money. Typical industries he works with include professional services, business-to-business retail, and healthcare professionals.
Garner has a degree from Linn Technical College and is a graduate of the Kauffman Foundation FastTrac II entrepreneurial training program. He is a certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach and also has certification with with Leader Publishing Worldwide marketing coaching system.
Garner is certified as a facilitator of the Michael E. Gerber Origination New Venture Development program and is also a certified evaluator of the ExtendedDISC behavioral analysis system and the FINTEL financial intelligence analysis program.
He is the recipient of the Ad Pro of the Year award from the Mid-Missouri Advertising Federation, the Bright Ideas Award recipient of the Kauffman Foundation FastTrac II program. He is an active member of Downtown Lee’s Summit Rotary Club and the Belton, Missouri Chamber of Commerce and has sat as president and chairman of the board for the Mid-Missouri Advertising Federation, and has served on the advisor board of the University of Missouri SIFE program, United Way of Mid-Missouri Marketing Committee, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Recertification Committee, and has co-chaired the Business Expo Committees for Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri.
Additionally he has served on the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee (Kansas City, Missouri) and has been a Chamber Ambassador for the Belton, Columbia, Jefferson City, and Northland Regional Chambers of Commerce.
Garner has the unique ability to identify roadblocks and helps his clients strategize plans to achieves the best possible outcome. He’s straightforward and candid yet always shows empathy and true concern for those around him.
Garner is the former owner and Publisher of the Mid-Missouri Business Journal has been published in various publications and seen on a variety of business news radio and television programs.
Garner now lives in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. When not working, Garner likes to play golf, and enjoys outings with his friends. He follows the NFL Kansas City Chief, MLS Sporting Kansas City, and the University of Missouri sports programs.
